Summer Reading Program

CONGRATULATIONS to all who have completed the 40 day Summer Reading Program!  Even though the program is ended, you can still pick up your prizes for 10, 20, 30 or 40 days until Saturday August 30th.   When you registered, you were prompted to select a grand prize (bug catcher/butterfly garden, Science kit, Furby, or minecraft prize) that you could have won IF you were randomly chosen as one of the grand prize winners.  Anyone who completed the 40 days of reading by 12 noon on Friday, August 15th became eligible and was entered into our grand prize drawing for each age group.  There were 3 grand prize winners.

Registration for our fall session of our story times has begun.. Exploring Stories with toddlers ages 2 & 3… Join us as we explore stories, fingerplays, songs, activities and playtime.  To register, click here…...
Preschool Story Fun for ages 4 & 5… Join us as we explore stories, fingerplays, songs, activities and playtime. This story time will help foster language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, and social development.  To register, click here
Please note that story times will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located next to the library.

BABYSITTING BASIC WORKSHOP ***DATE TO BE DETERMINED *** Please call the library to add name to a waiting list.

AFTERNOON STORIES - Fairy tales, folktales, tall-tales and more.… Come join us as Miss Phyllis reads some favorites to elementary aged kids!  Next session Monday, September, 15th at 4:00 pm  Registration suggested on events calendar but walk-ins are welcome – Ages 5-10!

 LULA’S BOOK CLUB – Lula will be taking a vacation in August.. Our next session will be Thursday, September 18th at 7 pm.…. ..Participants will partake in reading aloud followed by a group discussion. In addition to encouraging children to read more freely and without criticism, we hope to enhance reading comprehension and open dialogue, which can help improve reading fluency and promote a higher self-esteem!  This program is intended for ages 5-11.  Space will be limited. DreamTime StoryTime will be held the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm  (UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED).  Space is limited!!! Please sign up on………….  Events Calendar up to one month prior.
