HAPPY SPRING!
LULA WILL BE TAKING THE MONTH OF MAY OFF .…….LULA’S BOOK CLUB continues to be a BIG HIT! On Thursday, June 20th at 6:30,Lula will be back and her book selection is Plantzilla by Jerdine Nolen. All participants will partake in reading aloud followed by a group discussion. In addition to encouraging children to read more freely and without criticism, we hope to enhance reading comprehension and open dialogue, which can help improve reading fluency and promote a higher self-esteem! This program is intended for ages 5-11. Space will be limited. Register on the events calendar.
Next session June 13th *** The Highland Public Library is partnering with a certified therapy dog, LULA, which is sure to be “fur”tastic! This widely received program pairs a child with a certified therapy dog for reading practice for a scheduled 10 minute session. Such partnerships encourage children to read more freely and without criticism, which can result in improved reading fluency and higher self-esteem! For ages 5 & up. Kids Crafting Corner for ages 5-11 that will be held on THE FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH at 6:30 p.m. (UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED). Registration is open 1 month prior on the EVENTS CALENDAR. Seating is limited. For ages 5-11.
