ATTENTION ALL….NEW PROGRAM ALERT ….. INTRODUCING AFTERNOON STORIESFairy tales, folktales, tall-tales and more.… Come join us as Miss Phyllis reads some favorites to elementary aged kids!  Monday, APRIL 21st at 4:00 pm.   Registration suggested on events calendar but walk-ins are welcome – Ages 5-10!

IT”S BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND LULA’S BOOK CLUB  ...May 15th at 7 pm…..This months book choice is MY JACK BY IZA TRAPANI…Participants will partake in reading aloud followed by a group discussion. In addition to encouraging children to read more freely and without criticism, we hope to enhance reading comprehension and open dialogue, which can help improve reading fluency and promote a higher self-esteem!  This program is intended for ages 5-11.  Space will be limited. Register on the events calendar.

 STORIES WITH PAW PALS  (NEXT SESSION IN JUNE – Date to be determined)*** The Highland Public Library partners with a certified therapy dog, LULA, which is sure to be “fur”tastic! This widely received program pairs a child with a certified therapy dog for reading practice for a scheduled 10 minute session. Such partnerships encourage children to read more freely and without criticism, which can result in improved reading fluency and higher self-esteem! For ages 5 & up. TODDLING INTO TWO……. are you interest in attending a storytime for children ages 20 months to up to 30 months (2 1/2)? For more information please call 691-2275 ext.12.

DreamTime StoryTime will be held the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm  (UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED).  Space is limited!!! Please sign up on Events Calendar up to one month prior.

2013/2014  STORY TIMES AND STORY HOURS  - ***Regular Story Times  for ages 2 & 3 year, WEDNESDAY’S at 10:30 (WAITLIST) and 11:30 -(WAITLIST).  Story Hour for ages 4 & 5 is held on Friday’s at 2:00 (waitlist).  Register on the events calendar.  Registration is required and is on-going.
