NATIONAL BOOK MONTH

 BABYSITTING WORKSHOP SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST FROM 10:00 – 3:30….
The Babysitting Basics Program was created to teach those skills necessary to become a responsible sitter. This program will be taught by Linda Showers, RN, 10:00-3:30. Fee : $12.50. Please pay at the library prior to 11/1. Please bring a bag lunch. Register on events calendar or at the library.
Registration for our fall session of our story times has begun.. Exploring Stories with toddlers ages 2 & 3… Join us as we explore stories, fingerplays, songs, activities and playtime.  To register, click here…...
Preschool Story Fun for ages 4 & 5… Join us as we explore stories, fingerplays, songs, activities and playtime. This story time will help foster language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, and social development.  To register, click here
Please note that some of our story times will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located next to the library.
Beginning Friday October 17th, we will be introducing our new 0-24 month old story time, Babes in Bookland.
Babies and books, songs, fingerplays, rhymes, bounces, and more! Please join us as we explore some of the first steps in early literacy awareness, for ages 0-24 months. Will be held at the First Presbyterian Church.  Register on the events calendar.
DreamTime StoryTime (ages 3-5)-(HELD AT THE LIBRARY) next session Thursday, October 2, at 6:30.. Space is limited.  Register on the Events Calendar.
AFTERNOON STORIES (HELD AT THE LIBRARY) - Fairy tales, folktales, tall-tales and more.… Come join us as Miss Phyllis reads some favorites to elementary aged kids!  Next session Monday, October 20th at 4:00 pm  Registration suggested on events calendar but walk-ins are welcome – Ages 5-10!

 LULA’S BOOK CLUB – Our next session will be Wednesday, October 15th at 7 pm.…. ..Lula’s book choices are Dog and Bear – two friends, three stories by Laura Vaccaro Seeger & RRRalph by Lois Ehlert…Participants will partake in reading aloud followed by a group discussion. In addition to encouraging children to read more freely and without criticism, we hope to enhance reading comprehension and open dialogue, which can help improve reading fluency and promote a higher self-esteem!  This program is intended for ages 5-11.  Space will be limited.
